"As a colour educator for a large colour company I have had the pleasure of teaching in many salons and Schools across Western Canada, my position as Western Canada's Event Coordinator has me working closely with many gifted world famous Artists, Stylists and Educators. I have had the pleasure of educating at Rich 1 since before the opening on Bowen RD and even before the school opened and the drive, ambition and determination not only to learn the newest trends but to also excel at them were/is always apparent at Rich 1 salon.

Rich and his talented staff have taken this drive, ambition and determination and with their move into larger facilities have created an amazing school, spa and salon, all under one roof.

When teaching at both school and salon, I always leave thrilled with the high caliber of stylists and the high level of instruction that the educators at Rich 1 set out for the students…..

When friends and clients ask about schools in or close to Victoria and surrounding area  my response is, “Send them down to Rich1 in Nanaimo, rent them a condo for a few months, whatever it takes,  I would send my own child there should they express an interest in the joining the industry”

What lead me to The Rich 1 Beauty School was the warm friendly atmosphere and small class sizes that gave each student the attention we needed. I really enjoyed my training, everything was very professional and the instructors would make sure that we understood what we were doing before moving on. I have made some long-term friendships with the staff and fellow students. Not only am I confident in what I do, but I immediately was able to find a position in the career of my choice!

I attended the hair program at Rich 1 Beauty School in 2009. I really enjoyed going to class each and every day. With the smaller classroom size I learnt much more and much easier then I think I would have in a larger classroom. I was able to experience more one on one time with the instructors. It was fast paced and very much hands on it made learning for me an easier road to follow. Rich 1 Beauty is not only a School but also a full service Salon, so I was able to experience daily routines in an established environment. Not only did I learn allot and enjoy the welcoming and friendly staff, but I met some really awesome people who will be life long friends!

I want to thank Rich 1 Beauty Salon & School for the amazing one-on-one training and small class size that I received. Having a busy Salon right there for us to be involved in really did help, we were able to "get our feet wet" and start building our confidence right away. The staff for both the Salon and School were not only friendly but always there to help you and answer any questions, we really felt like part of the team.
I was very surprised at the amount of training and specialty classes we received in such a short time.
I want to thank the staff at Rich 1 Beauty Salon & School for such a great program and I'm thrilled at the fact that I was hired at a new upcoming Salon in town as soon as I was finished the program. Can you believe it!!!
