Frequently Asked Questions:
Is it safe?
Yes, the main ingredient DHA is a 3-carbon sugar. It is generally found in all self-tanning solutions and has been used safely by the cosmetic industry for over 30 years.
How does it work?
The DHA oxidizes and reacts on the dead skin cells, causing the melanin in your skin to turn a natural tan color. The live cells located underneath the layer of dead skin cells has a barrier that is not and cannot be penetrated by DHA.
How long does it last?
Anywhere between 5-21 days. Exfoliating and excessive sweating will speed up the loss of color, but simple soap and water will not wash it away.
Should I use aftercare products?
Yes, the aftercare moisturizing lotion contains a small amount of DHA. Regular applications (2-3 times daily) will keep your skin silky and smooth and will extend the deepness and duration of your tan.
What if I get tanning solution of my clothing?
The spray-tanning product is water soluble. Any residue on the inside of your clothing will wash out.
When can I shower/ wash?
Always wait 4-5 hours at the least to allow the product to bring out your natural tan. Avoid soaking in a tub for long periods of time. When drying off, pat yourself dry.
What would happen if I went swimming?
Chlorine has a slight bleaching effect on all skin types, whether you are naturally tanned or have used self-tanning products.
How often can I spray-tan?
Once a week, up to 10 weeks, then you should take a 21-day break
